I spent eight years in retail styling and personal shopping, helping women build wardrobes that worked for real lives: busy jobs, small suitcases, and occasions with confusing dress codes. Most of what I learned never made it into the glossy round-ups online.
So I write it down here. Velvet & Gloss covers the shapes, fabrics, packing formulas and dress codes other blogs skip, plus the nails and hair that finish a look. If a nail design is listed as beginner-friendly, it’s because I tried it at my own kitchen table.
